In your role as a womenswear pattern cutter and seamstress, you will be an ambassador for Nyheke Lambert LTD and its company values. This role is very independent as you’re expected to manage work allocated to you in order to meet clients’ deadlines. We specialise in start-up companies and bespoke pieces so you must be comfortable and excited at seeing a project through from conception to completion. And most importantly, be very interested in womenswear.


  • Arranging meetings/fittings with new and existing clients

  • Creating first patterns

  • Soft tailoring

  • Draping

  • Developing new fits and silhouettes

  • Problem solving and amendments

  • Hand stitching and finishing garments

  • Toiling

  • Leading fittings at the Nyheke Lambert LTD office in central London and taking notes

  • Sampling

  • Ordering fabric/trimmings and supplying

  • Attending events and representing the brand

  • Attending meetings on my behalf

  • Travelling within the UK for fittings (if required)


  • Must have one to two years’ minimum industry experience. The job may be suitable for a fashion design graduate who has completed a one-year placement or a self-taught keen individual

  • Knowledge of working with various textiles

  • Good knowledge of/ have access to an industrial machines such as flat bed, overlocker, cover-stitch machine and button hole machine.

  • Hardworking, energetic, passionate, devoted to the projects and willing to work extra hours to meet deadlines, if necessary

  • Someone who is keen to share ideas and techniques, and happy to grow with the business

  • Very comfortable using their own initiative and working solo

  • Organised, clean and tidy

  • Honest and communicative

This job is for a diligent, passionate, devoted and talented individual who wants a hands-on role where each day is different. There is also scope for the role to become full-time, if the candidate is interested and is a right fit for Nyheke Lambert LTD. Please note this is not a design role and is for those interested in clothing construction.
